Chemistry Teacher (maternity cover)

Cranbrook School is seeking an enthusiastic and well-qualified Chemistry Teacher to join our thriving Science Department on a fixed-term maternity cover contract from September 2026 to January 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach Chemistry up to Key Stage 4 within a high-performing and supportive department. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering engaging, rigorous lessons that inspire curiosity and secure excellent outcomes for students.

About the Role

• Teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the curriculum
• Assess, monitor and support student progress

About You

• A strong graduate in Chemistry or a related discipline and/or good Chemistry A-levels
• Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent)
• A clear commitment to excellent classroom practice
• The ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
• Strong organisational and communication skills
