37 hours per week, Monday to Friday Term time only, plus INSETs and 5 additional weeks, including the summer exam period from A-level results week to the first INSET day.
Flexibility is essential during exam periods — early starts (from 07:30) are required.

Main Duties

  • Lead on all aspects of public and internal examinations and assessments, including CAT tests and NEAs
  • Manage exam entries, results, re-marks, appeals, script requests and certificates
  • Coordinate access arrangements and oversee examination provision for all students
  • Manage a team of exam invigilators; book and set up venues as required
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of JCQ policies and ensure compliance across the school
  • Attend examination officer briefings and act as a key liaison with staff, students, and parents on exam matters
  • Administer university entrance tests
  • Support JCQ inspections
